작가들이 컬렉터와 직접 소통하며 작품 홍보 및 판매를 진행하는 '2026 제25회 인사동 국제 아트페어'의 1부 일정이 지난 6월 3일(수)부터 9일(화)까지 성황리에 마무리됐다.
이어 오는 6월 10일(수)부터 15일(월)까지는 작가별 개인 부스 운영을 통해 관람객과 깊이 있게 교류하는 2부 일정인 '아름다운 동행전'이 본격적으로 펼쳐진다.
사단법인 국제현대예술협회(이사장 김용모)가 주최하는 이번 행사는 단순한 전시회를 넘어 작가와 관람객, 컬렉터가 현장에서 직접 마주하는 '열린 미술시장' 형태로 기획됐다.
한국 예술 발전과 예술인의 창작활동 지원, 미술인 권익 보호, 회원 간 상호 교류를 목적으로 하는 (사)국제현대예술협회는 매년 독창적인 작품 세계를 지닌 청년 작가를 발굴하고 기성 작가의 전시·판매 활동을 적극 지원하며 미술시장 활성화에 앞장서고 있다.
이번 아트페어에는 국내 작가 170여 명과 해외 작가 11명이 참여해 한국 미술의 중심지인 인사동에서 관람객과 컬렉터를 맞이하고 있다.
특히 180여 명의 작가가 참여하는 소품 위주의 '작은 선물전'도 함께 기획되어, 대중이 부담 없이 미술품을 즐기고 소장할 수 있는 특별한 기회를 제공한다.
이는 세대 간 예술적 교류를 도모하고 새로운 영감을 나누는 소중한 장이 될 것으로 기대된다.
2026 제25회 국제 아트페어와 아름다운 동행전을 주관하는 (사)국제현대예술협회 김용모 이사장은 "미술문화의 대중화를 이루는 동시에 미술인들이 함께 즐기는 축제의 장으로 입지를 확고히 하고자 한다"며, "화랑 중심의 미술제에서 벗어나 작가가 주인공이 되는 행사로 발전시켜 침체된 미술시장에 새로운 활력을 불어넣겠다"고 포부를 밝혔다.
작가별 부스 운영을 통한 관람객과의 직접적인 소통을 핵심 가치로 내건 이번 행사는 작가들에게 실질적인 보탬이 되는 무대로서 그 규모와 깊이를 더해가고 있다.

Hosted by the International Contemporary Arts Association (Chairman Yong-mo Kim), this event goes beyond a simple exhibition, operating as an open art market where artists, visitors, and collectors meet face-to-face. Dedicated to advancing Korean art, supporting artists' creative activities, protecting artists' rights, and fostering networking and fellowship among members, the International Contemporary Arts Association contributes to revitalizing the art market every year by discovering young artists with unique creative visions and supporting exhibitions and sales for established artists.
Around 170 domestic artists and 11 international artists have submitted their works, welcoming visitors and collectors to Insadong, the heart of Korean art. In addition, the "Small Gift Exhibition"—featuring smaller-scale works by around 180 participating artists—has been organized to provide an affordable opportunity for the public to enjoy and collect artwork. The event also serves as a meaningful platform for cross-generational artistic exchange and a space to share new creative inspiration.
Chairman Yong-mo Kim of the International Contemporary Arts Association, which organizes the 25th International Art Fair 2026 and the Beautiful Accompaniment Exhibition, stated, "We aim to firmly establish this event as a festival for artists while popularizing art culture. By developing this into an event where artists, rather than galleries, take center stage, we hope to breathe new life into the art market." With its core value placed on direct communication with visitors through artist-run booths, the event continues to expand with the goal of providing practical support to artists.
