[정치/CTN]가금현 기자 = 더불어민주당 서산시지역위원회 소속 지방선거 당선인들이 호국보훈의 달을 맞아 순국선열과 호국영령의 숭고한 희생정신을 기리며 의정활동의 첫걸음을 내디뎠다.

더불어민주당 서산시지역위원회에 따르면 장승재 충청남도의회 당선인을 비롯한 지방선거 당선인들은 최근 서산시 충령각과 충혼탑, 나라사랑공원 등을 찾아 참배하며 시민을 위한 책임 있는 의정활동을 다짐했다.

이날 참배에는 충청남도의회 김영수·유해중·장승재 당선인과 서산시의회 강석환, 기양순, 김애란, 김혜림, 송치윤, 이경화, 이국찬 당선인 등 총 10명이 참석했다.

참석자들은 충령각에서 헌향과 분향을 하며 나라를 위해 헌신한 순국선열과 호국영령의 넋을 기렸다. 이어 충혼탑과 나라사랑공원으로 이동해 헌화하며 시민의 대표로서 맡은 바 소임을 성실히 수행할 것을 다짐했다.

당선인들은 “오늘의 대한민국과 서산시가 있기까지 희생하신 순국선열과 호국영령들의 고귀한 뜻을 잊지 않겠다”며 “시민들께서 부여해주신 책임과 역할을 무겁게 받아들이고, 서산시 발전과 시민 행복을 위해 최선을 다하는 의정활동을 펼쳐 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편 이번 참배는 지방선거 이후 당선인들이 공식적으로 함께한 첫 일정으로, 초심을 되새기고 시민 봉사의 의지를 다지는 의미 있는 시간이 됐다.

At Chungnyeonggak, participants offered incense and paid tribute to those who devoted their lives to the nation. They then moved to the Chunghontap Memorial Tower and Sarang Park, where they laid flowers and reaffirmed their commitment to serving citizens as their elected representatives.
The elected officials stated, “We will never forget the noble spirit and sacrifices of the patriotic martyrs and fallen heroes who made today’s Republic of Korea and Seosan possible. We will deeply reflect on the responsibilities entrusted to us by citizens and dedicate ourselves to legislative activities aimed solely at the development of Seosan and the happiness of its residents.”
