서울시는 25일 오전 10시 동대문디자인플라자(DDP)에서 '2026년 제30회 서울특별시 환경상' 시상식을 개최하고, 총 21명(단체)의 수상자에게 시상했다고 밝혔다.
이날 시상식에는 오세훈 서울시장이 직접 참석해 상을 수여하고 수상자들의 공로를 격려했다.
올해로 30주년을 맞이한 '서울특별시 환경상'은 1997년부터 매년 개최되어 온 서울시 환경 분야 최고 권위의 상이다. 특히 올해는 급변하는 기후위기 상황 속에서 혁신기술의 중요성을 적극 반영해 ▲기후테크 ▲그린수송·에너지 ▲건물에너지 ▲자원순환 ▲기후행동·교육 등 5개 혁신 분야로 개편하여 운영됐다.
엄격한 공적심사를 거쳐 대상 1명, 최우수상 5명, 우수상 15명 등 총 21명(단체)이 수상의 영예를 안았다.
■ 영예의 대상, 기후테크 혁신 이끈 ‘㈜와이즈앤드이롭’ 이번 환경상 최고의 영예인 대상은 기후테크 분야의 혁신기업 ㈜와이즈앤드이롭에 돌아갔다.
㈜와이즈앤드이롭은 전력사용량을 28% 감축하는 동시에 수명을 2배 이상 연장한 ‘미세먼지 흡착 에어필터 기술’을 개발하여 기후위기 대응 기술 발전에 기여한 공로를 높게 평가받았다.
해당 기술 연구 성과는 세계적 국제학술지 ‘네이처(Nature)’에 발표되었으며, 서울시 테스트베드 사업을 통해 실제 건축물에 성공적으로 적용되면서 실효성과 확산 가능성을 동시에 입증했다. 전문가 심사단은 “미세먼지 저감과 에너지 절감을 하나의 기술로 완벽히 구현한 탄소중립의 우수 실증 사례”라고 극찬했다.

그린수송·에너지 분야: ㈜LG에너지솔루션이 2차 전지 기술 혁신 및 전기 이륜차 배터리 교환스테이션(BSS) 기반을 확대하여 연간 14,760톤의 탄소 배출을 감축(30년생 소나무 약 223만 그루 흡수량)한 공로를 인정받았다.

한편, 이날 시상식에서는 시민들이 일상 속 폐기물 감량을 직접 실천한 ‘생활폐기물 다이어트 100일의 도전’ 우수 참가자 10명에 대한 시상도 함께 열렸다. 참여 시민들은 1인당 하루 평균 100g이던 배출량을 62g까지 줄이며 38%의 높은 감량률을 기록했다. 마포구의 신화경(50대) 씨는 배달 음식을 자제해 73.6%를 감량해 최대 감량 사례로 꼽혔으며, 관악구의 정영아(40대) 씨는 100일 동안 단 401g(10리터 종량제 봉투의 5분의 1 수준)만을 배출해 최소 배출의 주인공이 됐다.
오세훈 서울시장은 격려사를 통해 “올해로 30주년을 맞이한 서울시 환경상은 각자의 자리에서 탄소 감축과 자원순환을 위해 헌신해주신 시민 여러분 덕분에 존재할 수 있었다”며, “서울의 맑고 푸른 변화의 출발점에는 항상 행동하는 시민들이 있었고, 이들에게 깊은 감사와 존경을 표한다”고 말했다.
이번 시상식은 ‘2026 서울 기후테크 컨퍼런스’와 연계 개최되어 친환경 기술의 가치를 더했으며, 종이 상장 대신 태블릿을 활용한 전자상장 수여, 일회용품 없는 ‘제로 웨이스트(Zero-Waste)’ 형태로 운영되어 시상식 자체로도 탄소중립 실천의 모범을 보였다.

Additionally, 10 outstanding citizens were rewarded for the '100-Day Waste Diet Challenge,' where participants cut their daily domestic waste from 100g to 62g on average, achieving an impressive 38% reduction. Notably, Ms. Hwa-kyung Shin (50s, Mapo) cut her waste by 73.6% by avoiding food delivery, while Ms. Young-ah Jeong (40s, Gwanak) discharged only 401g of waste during the entire 100 days by utilizing tumblers and handkerchiefs daily.
