이번 제호 변경은 단순한 명칭 변경을 넘어 충청남도 교육 현장의 다양한 정책과 학교 소식, 교육가족의 목소리를 보다 깊이 있고 신속하게 전달하기 위한 전략적 변화라는 점에서 의미가 크다.
그동안 교육타임즈는 전국 교육 현장의 다양한 소식을 전달하며 교육언론의 역할을 수행해 왔다.
그러나 지역별 교육환경과 정책이 점차 다양화되고 있는 만큼 충남교육에 더욱 집중한 전문적인 보도의 필요성이 제기되어 왔다.
이에 따라 새롭게 출범하는 충남교육신문은 충청남도교육청의 주요 교육정책은 물론 도내 각급 학교의 우수 교육활동, 학생과 교사의 다양한 이야기, 학부모와 지역사회가 함께하는 교육 현장을 심층적으로 조명할 계획이다.
특히 7월 1일 출범한 충남교육의 새로운 비전과 함께 추진되는 학생기자단 운영 등 교육현장의 다양한 참여 프로그램에도 적극 협력하며 학교와 지역사회를 연결하는 교육 플랫폼 역할을 수행할 것으로 기대된다.
또한 충남교육신문은 언론 경쟁력 강화를 위해 CTN 발행인을 회장으로 선임하고, 감정은 국장을 충남취재본부장으로 영입하는 등 조직 개편과 인적 쇄신을 단행했다.
이를 통해 더욱 전문적이고 신뢰받는 교육 전문언론으로 자리매김하겠다는 계획이다.

Education Times, a newspaper dedicated to promoting quality education, has officially changed its name to Chungnam Education Newspaper, marking a significant step toward becoming a specialized media outlet focused on education in Chungcheongnam-do.
The name change represents more than a simple rebranding. It reflects the newspaper's commitment to delivering faster, more in-depth, and reliable news about educational policies, school activities, and voices from students, teachers, and parents across the province.
While Education Times previously covered educational news from across Korea, the publication recognized the growing need for stronger regional coverage as local education policies and school environments continue to diversify.
Under its new identity, Chungnam Education Newspaper will focus on reporting key educational initiatives of the Chungcheongnam-do Office of Education, outstanding school programs, student achievements, innovative teaching practices, and educational cooperation within local communities.
