[여수/CTN]하성매 기자= 여수시 관계자는 "국민이 직접 선택한 대한민국 명소에 여수 관광자원 127곳이 선정된 것은 다양한 관광 콘텐츠의 경쟁력을 입증한 의미 있는 결과"라며 "여수의 섬과 바다, 맛과 문화를 더욱 널리 알리고 섬박람회를 계기로 여수 관광이 한 단계 더 도약할 수 있도록 힘쓰겠다"라고 말했다. 여수시는 관내 대표 관광·레저·미식 자원 127곳이 문화체육관광부와 한국관광공사가 주관하는 '대한민국 명소 발굴 100×100'에 최종 선정됐다고 밝혔다.

'대한민국 명소 발굴 100×100'은 전국의 매력적인 관광 자원을 발굴 및 육성하기 위해 추진되는 사업으로, 국민 참여 등을 거쳐 대상지를 선정한다. 여수시는 이번 공모에서 광주·전남 지자체 중 가장 많은 명소가 선정되는 성과를 나타냈다.

이번에 선정된 명소는 해양·섬, 미식, 체험·레저, 역사·문화, 도심 관광 등 8개 분야에 걸쳐 포함됐다. 국동 게장골목·참장어거리, 돌산 갓김치 등 미식 자원을 비롯해 해상케이블카, 라마다 짚트랙, 유월드 루지, 백리섬섬길 등이 주요 명소로 등재됐다.

또한 낭만포차거리, 오션뷰 카페, 예술랜드, 전남블루워케이션센터 등 휴식 공간과 함께 향일암, 이순신광장 등 역사 자원, 웅천·소호, 국동항 등 도심 권역이 잇따라 이름을 올렸다. 아울러 금오도 비렁길, 거문도, 백도, 사도·추도, 여자도 등 섬 권역 자원도 다수 수록됐다.

여수시는 이번에 선정된 명소들을 2026여수세계섬박람회와 연계해 미식·해양레저·섬 여행 등 주제별 관광코스로 재구성하고, 온·오프라인 홍보 마케팅을 강화해 관광객 체류 시간을 확대해 나갈 계획이라고 밝혔다.

Island resources including Geumodo Biryeong-gil, Geomundo, Baekdo, and Yeojado were also included.

Yeosu City stated that it plans to connect the selected attractions into thematic tour courses linked with the 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo and enhance online and offline promotional activities to increase visitor stay duration.
