[정치/CTN] 가금현 기자 = 이완섭 서산시장 후보가 행정의 가치는 구호가 아닌 실질적인 결과에 있음을 명확히 하며, 민선 8기의 성과를 '완성의 서산'으로 이어가겠다는 의지를 피력했다.

이 후보는 "정치는 말로 할 수 있지만 행정은 결국 시민이 체감하는 성과로 평가받아야 한다"며 민선 8기 시정 운영 경험과 추진 성과를 바탕으로 한 안정적인 시정 운영의 중요성을 강조했다.

그는 "행정은 보여주기식 구호나 단순한 약속보다 시민의 삶 속에서 어떤 변화를 만들어 냈는지가 중요하다"며 "시민들이 일상에서 체감할 수 있는 정책과 사업들을 흔들림 없이 추진해 나가겠다"고 밝혔다.

또한 장기간 답보 상태였던 주요 현안 사업들의 추진 기반을 마련하며 미래 성장 동력 확보와 정주 여건 개선에도 힘써 왔다.

이 후보는 "행정은 단기간의 성과나 일회성 정책에 그쳐서는 안 된다"며 "시민들이 실제 생활 속에서 변화를 느끼고 삶의 질 향상을 체감할 수 있도록 안정적인 시정 운영을 이어가는 것이 중요하다"고 강조했다.

이어 "지금 서산은 중요한 변화와 도약의 시기에 놓여 있다"며 "그동안 추진해 온 사업들이 중단 없이 이어져 시민들이 실질적인 변화를 체감할 수 있도록 책임 있는 행정을 이어가겠다"고 밝혔다.

또한, “민선 8기에서 시작한 변화의 흐름을 바탕으로 시민 중심의 시정을 더욱 안정적으로 발전시켜 나가겠다”며 “앞으로도 시민의 목소리를 최우선에 두고 현장에서 답을 찾는 행정을 이어가겠다”고 덧붙였다.
