이번 프로그램은 학교 밖 청소년들의 자립 역량을 강화하고 진로 탐색 기회를 확대하기 위해 마련됐다. 특히 자격증 취득 중심의 실무 교육을 통해 청소년들이 사회에 보다 안정적으로 진입할 수 있도록 돕는 데 초점을 맞췄다.
이번 사업은 지역 기관들의 예산 지원으로 더욱 풍성하게 진행됐다.
2단계 라떼아트 프로그램은 충남사회서비스원으로부터 총 205만 원의 사업비를 지원받았으며, 3단계 바리스타 자격과정은 충청남도서부평생교육원에서 약 108만 원의 강사비를 지원받아 운영됐다.
교육은 4월 13일부터 5월 26일까지 오전 10시부터 하루 2시간씩 진행됐다.
라떼아트 과정은 매주 월·수요일 총 10회, 바리스타 과정은 화·목요일 총 12회에 걸쳐 이어졌다. 참여 청소년들은 ‘김대진커피바리스타학원’의 전문 강사진과 함께 커피 추출 기초부터 우유 스티밍, 하트 및 로제타 패턴 만들기 등 체계적인 실습 교육을 받았다.
특히 이번 프로그램은 참여 청소년 '전원 자격증 취득'이라는 값진 결실을 맺었다. 라떼아트 과정에 참여한 3명은 ‘라떼아트마스터 자격증’을, 바리스타 과정에 참여한 9명은 ‘바리스타 3급 자격증’을 각각 취득했다.
교육 종료 후 일부 청소년들이 자립취업지원서비스 연계를 희망하는 등 실질적인 자립으로 이어지는 성과도 나타났다.
유인화 센터장은 "이번 프로그램이 청소년들에게 단순한 기술 습득을 넘어 자신감과 성취감을 높이는 계기가 되었다"라며 "앞으로도 다양한 직업체험과 역량강화 프로그램을 통해 청소년들의 자립과 사회참여를 적극 지원하겠다"고 전했다.
한편, 서산시학교밖청소년지원센터는 지역사회와의 협력을 확대하며 맞춤형 지원 프로그램을 지속적으로 발굴할 계획이다. 아울러 오는 6월 8일부터는 제2회 검정고시를 준비하는 학교 밖 청소년들을 위한 ‘스마트교실’을 본격적으로 운영할 예정이다.

The program, which began on April 13, was run in close cooperation with local organizations.
This initiative was designed to strengthen the self-reliance of out-of-school youth and expand their career exploration opportunities. In particular, it aimed to support their stable integration into society through practical, certification-oriented training.
In terms of financial support, Phase 2 (Latte Art) was funded with a total project budget of 2.05 million KRW from the Chungcheongnam-do Social Service Agency. The subsequent Phase 3 (Barista Certification) received approximately 1.08 million KRW in instructor fees from the Chungcheongnam-do Western Lifelong Education Institute.
The training sessions were held from April 13 to May 26, from 10:00 AM for two hours each day. Phase 2 ran for a total of 10 sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays, while Phase 3 ran for 12 sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Under the guidance of expert instructors from the Kim Dae-jin Coffee Barista Academy, participating youth received systematic practical training, ranging from basic espresso extraction to milk steaming, and creating heart and rosetta patterns.
Most notably, the program achieved a meaningful milestone with all participating youth successfully earning their certifications. Three participants in the Latte Art course obtained the 'Latte Art Master Certification,' and nine participants in the Barista course secured the 'Barista Class 3 Certification.' Following the completion of the program, some participants expressed interest in connecting with employment support services, demonstrating tangible outcomes for self-reliance.
Director In-hwa Yu stated, "This program served as an opportunity for the youth to go beyond simply acquiring technical skills and to boost their confidence and sense of achievement. We will continue to actively support their independence and social participation through various job experience and competency reinforcement programs."
Meanwhile, the Seosan Support Center for Out-of-School Youth plans to expand its cooperation with the local community to continuously discover customized support programs. Additionally, the center will launch "Smart Classes" on June 8 to support out-of-school youth preparing for the second qualification examination (high school equivalency exam) of the year.
