[사회/CTN]가금현 기자 = 당진문화재단이 오는 6월 개최되는 '2026년 문화예술관광형 축제'의 성공적인 개최를 위해 본격적인 카운트다운에 돌입했다.

재단은 지난 22일 황침현 당진시 부시장(시장 대행)에게 축제사업 추진 계획을 보고한 데 이어, 같은 날 면천면 주민 설명회와 27일 당진시청 협조부서 설명회를 연달아 개최하며 유관기관 및 지역사회와의 유기적인 협력 체계 구축을 마쳤다.

올해 새롭게 선보이는 축제 『또봄면천』은 '다시 또 찾아오고 싶은 면천'을 슬로건으로, 오는 6월 13일(토)부터 14일(일)까지 이틀간 면천읍성 일원에서 화려하게 펼쳐진다.

이번 축제는 예년보다 더욱 강력해진 대중성 있는 공연 라인업으로 눈길을 사로잡는다. 독보적인 음색의 카더가든과 감성 발라더 로이킴, 감미로운 화음의 스윗소로우, 그리고 세계를 사로잡은 국악 밴드 악단광칠이 무대에 올라 전 세대를 아우르는 감동의 무대를 선사할 예정이다.

올해 첫선을 보이는 참여형 프로그램도 주목할 만하다. 면천읍성 성곽 2km를 달리며 당진 특산품을 받는 '달려보는 면천'을 비롯해, 밤하늘을 수놓을 야간 스토리텔링 드론쇼, 야간의 정취를 느낄 수 있는 야장 프로그램 등이 마련돼 관람객들에게 낮과 밤이 모두 즐거운 오감 만족을 선사한다.

또한, 관람객들의 접근성과 편의성을 높이기 위해 셔틀버스 노선도 2개로 대폭 확대했다.

특히 이번 축제는 동서발전, 당진시대, 삼호개발, 선양소주, 한국수자원공사, TJB 대전방송 등 총 6개 기관 및 기업의 후원·협찬이 잇따르며 여느 때보다 풍성하고 내실 있는 축제가 될 것으로 기대를 모으고 있다.

당진문화재단 관계자는 "화려한 아티스트 라인업과 지역 기업·기관들의 적극적인 지원 덕분에 역대 가장 풍성한 축제를 선보일 수 있게 됐다"며 "셔틀버스 확대 운영 등 관람객 편의에 만전을 기한 만큼, 많은 시민과 관광객들이 면천에서 잊지 못할 추억을 만들길 바란다"고 전했다.

Following a briefing on the festival's implementation plan to Hwang Chim-hyeon, Vice Mayor of Dangjin (Acting Mayor), on May 22, the foundation held a briefing session for residents of Myeoncheon-myeon on the same afternoon. On May 27, it hosted another meeting for cooperating departments at the Dangjin City Hall, fully activating a collaborative network with related organizations and the local community.
The newly introduced festival this year, "Ddobbom Myeoncheon," will be held under the theme "Myeoncheon, a Place You Want to Visit Again and Again." It will take place for two days from Saturday, June 13 to Sunday, June 14, around the Myeoncheon Eupseong (Fortress) area.
This year's festival is drawing significant attention with a much stronger and more popular performance lineup than in previous years. Car, the Garden, known for his unique voice, soulful balladeer Roy Kim, vocal group Sweet Sorrow with their sweet harmonies, and Akdan Gwangchil, a traditional Korean music band that has captivated the world, will take the stage to deliver deeply moving performances for audiences of all ages.
Newly established participatory programs are also highly anticipated. "Running Myeoncheon," a program where participants run 2km along the Myeoncheon Eupseong fortress wall and receive local Dangjin specialties, will make its debut. In addition, a nighttime storytelling drone show and night-market-style outdoor programs (Yajang) will be operated, offering plenty of entertainment throughout the day and night.
To enhance accessibility for visitors, shuttle bus routes have been significantly expanded into two lines:
Route 1: Dangjin New Terminal → Dangjin City Hall → Amisan Mountain → Myeoncheon Eupseong (connecting major downtown points)
Route 2: Songak Nonghyup → Gijisi Juldarigi (Tug-of-war) Museum → Myeoncheon Eupseong (linking major cultural heritage sites)
Furthermore, with confirmed sponsorships and support from six organizations and enterprises—including Korea East-West Power, Dangjin Sidae, Samho Development, Sunyang Soju, K-water, and TJB Daejeon Broadcasting—the festival's programs are expected to be richer and more substantial than ever before.
An official from the Dangjin Culture Foundation stated, "Thanks to the spectacular artist lineup and the active support from local businesses and public institutions, we are preparing the richest festival in our history. As we have done our best to ensure visitor convenience, including the expansion of shuttle bus routes, we hope many citizens and tourists will make unforgettable memories in Myeoncheon."
