[정치/CTN]가금현 기자= 김기재 더불어민주당 당진시장 후보가 6월 1일 합덕시장 한우거리에서 장날 집중유세를 펼치며 표심 공략에 나섰다.

김 후보는 이 자리에서 남부권 발전과 민생경제 회복을 위한 구체적인 청사진을 제시했다.

이날 유세에는 어기구 국회의원을 비롯해 김봉균 충남도의원 후보, 김명진·이화용 당진시의원 후보, 그리고 인기 배우 정흥채 씨가 지원사격에 나서며 민주당의 '원팀 승리'를 다짐했다.

민생경제 회복을 위한 핵심 공약으로는 '당진경제회복지원금'을 재차 추진하겠다고 밝혔다. 김 후보는 “장날임에도 침체된 시장 현실을 보며 상인들의 어려움을 절감했다”며 “당진시민 누구나 1인당 30만 원의 지원금을 지역화폐로 지급해 골목상권에 실질적인 온기를 불어넣겠다”고 약속했다.

지원 유세에 나선 인사들의 호소도 이어졌다.
어기구 국회의원은 “이번 선거는 당진과 남부권의 미래를 결정하는 분수령이다. 민생 회복을 위해 민주당 후보들에게 압도적인 힘을 모아달라”고 했다.
