[충남/CTN]한성진 기자 = 충남도는 13일 도청 문예회관에서 '제75주년 상이군경회 창립 기념식'을 개최했다.

대한민국상이군경회 충남지부가 주관한 이번 기념식은 국가를 위해 헌신한 상이군경을 예우하고, 보훈 문화를 확산하기 위해 마련했다.

행사는 홍종완 도지사 권한대행과 유관기관 및 상이군경회 시군지회 회원 등 600여 명이 참석한 가운데 △식전 행사 △영상 시청 △표창장 수여 △상이군경회가 제창 등 순으로 진행됐다.

이 자리에서 홍종완 도지사 권한대행은 "국가를 향한 상이군경 여러분의 숭고한 희생과 용기는 우리 후손들이 영원히 기억하고, 계승해야 할 소중한 유산"이라며, 대한민국의 자유와 번영을 위해 헌신한 상이군경 영웅들에게 깊은 감사와 존경을 표했다.

이어 "도는 상이군경 영웅들의 애국정신을 깊이 새기고, 그 헌신에 보답할 것"이라며, "여러분들이 명예롭고 안정된 삶을 이어갈 수 있도록 최선을 다해 예우하고 지원하겠다"고 강조했다.

정진동 상이군경회 충남지부장은 "대한민국상이군경회는 조국을 위한 희생과 헌신이 결코 잊히지 않도록 하는 연대의 상징이자, 상이군경의 명예를 지키는 마지막 보루"라며, "앞으로도 국가를 위한 희생에 끝까지 책임지는 나라, 영웅이 존중받는 대한민국을 만드는데 함께하겠다"고 말했다.

[Chungnam/CTN] Reporter Han Sung-jin = On May 13, Chungnam Province hosted the 75th Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony of the Korea Disabled Veterans Association at the Provincial Government Cultural Arts Hall.

Organized by the Chungnam Branch of the Korea Disabled Veterans Association, the ceremony was held to honor the veterans who sacrificed for the nation and to promote a culture of remembrance and respect.

The event was attended by Acting Governor Hong Jong-wan, representatives from related organizations, and about 600 members from city and county branches of the association. The program included a pre-ceremony performance, video screening, award presentations, and the association’s anthem.

During his remarks, Acting Governor Hong stated: “The noble sacrifice and courage of disabled veterans for our country are a precious legacy that future generations must forever remember and carry forward.” He expressed deep gratitude and respect to the heroes who dedicated themselves to Korea’s freedom and prosperity.

He added: “The province will engrave the patriotic spirit of disabled veterans and repay their dedication. We will do our utmost to ensure that you can live honorable and stable lives with the respect and support you deserve.”

Chungnam Branch Chairman Jung Jin-dong emphasized: “The Korea Disabled Veterans Association is a symbol of solidarity ensuring that sacrifice and dedication for the nation are never forgotten, and it is the final bastion protecting the honor of disabled veterans. We will continue to build a country that takes full responsibility for those who sacrificed for the nation, where heroes are respected.”
