천안교육지원청은 지난 12일 교육취약계층 학생들의 문화적 소외감을 해소하고 예술적 재능을 발굴하기 위한 지역아동센터 연계 문화예술 프로그램 지원 사업 사전협의회를 전격 개최했다. 이번 사업은 단순한 일회성 행사를 넘어 예술 향유 기회가 상대적으로 적은 학생들에게 고품질 예술 프로그램 강사비를 직접 지원함으로써 공교육의 복지 외연을 지역 사회 돌봄 체계까지 확장했다는 평가를 받는다.
이날 협의회에는 사업에 참여하는 관내 16개 지역아동센터 담당자들이 한자리에 모여 프로그램의 구체적인 운영 방향과 실무적인 협력 방안을 심도 있게 논의했다. 안종선 교육혁신센터장은 “이번 사업은 지역 사회 돌봄의 핵심 거점인 지역아동센터와 긴밀히 협력해 아이들이 숨겨진 예술적 재능을 발견할 소중한 기회를 제공하는 데 큰 의미가 있다”며 “현장의 생생한 목소리를 적극 수렴해 프로그램이 내실 있게 운영될 수 있도록 전폭적인 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 강조했다.
교육 현장의 사각지대를 메우는 이번 문화예술 지원 사업은 아이들의 정서적 성장을 돕는 든든한 자양분이 될 것이다. 지역 사회와의 유기적인 결합을 통해 완성될 천안형 교육복지 모델이 미래 주역들에게 어떠한 예술적 영감을 불어넣을지 그 행보가 주목된다.

[Cheonan/CTN] Reporter Kang Hyun-su = The Cheonan Education Support Office in Chungcheongnam-do has launched a practical educational welfare administration to awaken the artistic sensitivity of vulnerable students facing cultural thirst due to geographical and economic conditions.
On May 12, the Cheonan Education Support Office held a preliminary meeting for the "Regional Children's Center Linked Culture and Arts Program Support Project" to resolve the sense of cultural alienation among educationally vulnerable students and discover their artistic talents. This project is evaluated as expanding the welfare scope of public education to the local community care system by directly supporting instructor fees for high-quality art programs for students who have relatively fewer opportunities to enjoy the arts.
At the meeting, officials from 16 regional children's centers in the district gathered to discuss specific operational directions and practical cooperation plans for the program in depth. An Jong-seon, head of the Education Innovation Center, emphasized, "This project is highly significant in providing children with precious opportunities to discover hidden artistic talents by collaborating closely with regional children's centers, which are core hubs for community care," and added, "We will spare no full support to ensure the program runs effectively by actively collecting vivid voices from the field."
This cultural and arts support project, which fills the blind spots in the educational field, will serve as a strong nourishment for children's emotional growth. Attention is focused on how the Cheonan-style educational welfare model, completed through organic integration with the local community, will inspire the future leaders artistically.
