[서울/CTN]가금현 기자 = 서울시 미래한강본부는 2026 북중미 월드컵을 맞아 대한민국 국가대표팀을 한마음으로 응원할 수 있는 「한강플플 북중미 월드컵 팝업」을 개최한다고 밝혔다. 이번 행사는 오는 6월 12일(금)부터 28일(일)까지 뚝섬한강공원에 위치한 복합문화공간 ‘한강플플(Play Place)’에서 진행된다.

이번 팝업 행사는 대한민국 대표팀의 조별리그 경기 일정에 맞춰 운영되며, 대표팀이 32강 이상에 진출할 경우 응원 프로그램이 연장 운영될 예정이다.

행사가 열리는 한강플플에서는 대형 LED 화면을 통한 실시간 경기 중계를 비롯해 월드컵 테마 포토존, 시민 참여형 체험 프로그램, 온라인 예측 이벤트, 그리고 현대자동차의 ‘르르르’ 캐릭터 팝업 등 남녀노소 누구나 즐길 수 있는 다양한 콘텐츠가 펼쳐진다.

특히 이번 행사의 하이라이트인 '단체응원전'은 대한민국 조별리그 경기일인 ▲체코전(6.12 금, 오전 11시) ▲멕시코전(6.19 금, 오전 10시) ▲남아공전(6.25 목, 오전 10시)에 맞춰 진행된다. 한강 파노라마존의 대형 LED를 통해 경기가 생중계되며, 보다 쾌적하고 안전한 관람을 위해 회당 100명 규모의 사전예약제로 운영된다.

사전예약자에게는 캠핑의자 또는 돗자리 좌석과 함께 논알콜 수제맥주, 응원용 풍선스틱이 제공돼 현장의 열기를 더할 예정이다.

아울러 행사 기간 동안 한강플플 실내에는 선수 라커룸을 재현한 포토존이 상시 조성되며, 테이블 사커와 챔피언 슈터 등 축구 게임을 즐길 수 있다. 국가대표팀 경기일과 주말에는 유니폼 컬러링, 축구공 키링 만들기 등 가족 단위 방문객을 위한 체험 프로그램도 운영된다.

시민들의 흥미를 자극할 온라인 이벤트도 풍성하다. 체코전(6/6~6/12)과 연계한 ‘첫 골 맞추기’, 멕시코·남아공전과 연계한 ‘스코어 맞추기’ 이벤트가 진행되며, 정답자 중 추첨을 통해 경품을 증정한다.

이외에도 현대자동차의 Z세대 캐릭터 IP인 ‘르르르’와 협업한 월드컵 테마 팝업존이 두 차례(6.12~14, 6.26~28) 설치된다. 굿즈 스토어, 리프팅 챌린지, 좌식 축구 등 참여형 프로그램과 함께 행사장 외부에는 대형 르르르 에어벌룬과 수소전기차 넥쏘(NEXO)가 전시되어 색다른 볼거리를 제공한다.

박진영 서울시 미래한강본부장은 “시민들이 무더운 여름철에도 시원하고 쾌적한 실내 공간에서 월드컵 응원의 열기를 함께 나눌 수 있도록 다채로운 프로그램을 준비했다”라며 “가족, 친구와 함께 한강플플을 방문해 특별한 추억과 응원 문화를 경험해 보시길 바란다”고 전했다.

The pop-up will operate in alignment with the national team's group stage match schedule, with plans to extend the cheering programs if the team advances to the Round of 32 or further.
Hangang PP will offer a wide array of contents, including live match screenings on a large LED display, World Cup-themed photo zones, experiential programs, online events, and Hyundai Motor’s ‘Lelele’ pop-up zone.
The highlight of the event, the "Group Cheering Event," will take place during Korea's group stage matches: against the Czech Republic (Fri, June 12 at 11:00 AM), Mexico (Fri, June 19 at 10:00 AM), and South Africa (Thu, June 25 at 10:00 AM). Matches will be broadcast live through the large LED screens in the Hangang Panorama Zone. To ensure a safe and comfortable environment, the viewing area will be limited to 100 participants per match via a pre-reservation system. Pre-registered attendees will be provided with camping chairs or picnic mats, along with non-alcoholic craft beer and cheering balloon sticks to boost the stadium-like atmosphere.
Throughout the festival, the indoor space of Hangang PP will feature a photo zone replicating a player's locker room, alongside interactive games such as table soccer and "Champion Shooter." On match days and weekends, family-friendly hands-on activities, including uniform coloring and making football keyrings, will also be available.
Engaging online prediction events are also prepared to boost citizens' participation. A 'First Goal Predictor' event will run from June 6 to 12 for the opening match against the Czech Republic, while a 'Score Predictor' event will be available for the Mexico and South Africa matches, offering prizes to winners selected by raffle from the correct entries.
In addition, a World Cup-themed pop-up zone collaborating with Hyundai Motor's Gen Z character IP 'Lelele' will open twice (June 12–14 and June 26–28). It will feature a Lelele merchandise store, a ball-lifting challenge, seated soccer, and character photo events. Outside the venue, a giant Lelele air balloon and Hyundai’s hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle, NEXO, will be on display for visitors to enjoy.
