아울러 삽교호, 왜목마을, 면천읍성 등을 연계해 드라마 배경지로 특화하는 '지속 가능한 영상 콘텐츠 산업 생태계 구축'과 청소년들을 위한 익스트림·디지털 스포츠존을 갖춘 '청소년 어드벤처센터 조성'에도 투자를 아끼지 않을 전망이다.
시민들의 여가 활동 다양화와 건강 증진을 위한 생활 밀착형 체육 정책도 구체화됐다.
체육시설 확충을 위해 ▲채운공원 내 테니스장 등 시설 보급 ▲남부권 및 현대제철 공원에 각 27홀 규모의 파크골프장 조성 ▲선우대교 위 고수부지 약 55,000평 규모의 대규모 체육공원 구축을 추진하며, 읍면동별 수요 조사를 바탕으로 한 황토길 조성도 함께 진행된다.
특히 눈길을 끄는 것은 '스포츠 포인트 제도'다. 하루 7천 보 걷기를 달성하거나 공공체육시설을 이용할 경우 당진사랑상품권을 지급하는 제도로, 이를 위해 당진시 자체 건강 앱을 구축하고 지역화폐와 연동할 계획이다. 또한, 기업이 보유한 체육 시설을 주민에게 개방하는 '우리동네 기업 체육관'을 운영, 참여 기업에는 유지보수비 지원 및 지방세 감면 등의 인센티브를 제공해 상생의 장을 마련할 방침이다.
오성환 후보 측은 “문화, 관광, 체육은 시민들의 일상과 가장 밀접하게 연결된 기본이자 핵심 과제”라며, “단순한 개발을 넘어 시민의 높은 문화적 수준을 충족하고 부족한 인프라를 전방위적으로 채우는 혁신을 통해 당진의 지도를 바꾸겠다”고 강한 실천 의지를 피력했다.

First, large-scale infrastructure pledges were presented to elevate Dangjin's cultural status and revitalize the local economy. Building on the achievement of surpassing 500 million KRW in performance ticket revenue for the first time in 2025, the candidate plans to drive the "completion of South Chungcheong Province's top cultural city" to meet the growing cultural demands of citizens.
Key projects include:

Detailed, community-friendly sports policies were also laid out to diversify leisure activities and boost health.
To expand sports facilities, the plan includes:
Supplying tennis courts and other facilities in Chaeun Park.
Developing 27-hole park golf courses each in the southern district and Hyundai Steel Park.
Building a massive sports park spanning approximately 180,000 square meters ($55,000text{ pyeong}$) on the riverside areas of Seonwu Bridge.
Constructing red clay walking paths based on demand surveys across towns and townships ($Eup, Myeon, and Dong$).
The "Sports Points System" is drawing particular attention. It is a program that awards Dangjin Love Gift Certificates (local currency) when citizens walk 7,000 steps a day or use public sports facilities. To support this, the city will develop its own health app and link it with the local currency system. Additionally, the "Our Neighborhood Corporate Gym" initiative will encourage local companies to open their gyms and sports fields to residents. Participating businesses will receive incentives such as facility maintenance subsidies and local tax reductions to foster a cooperative community spirit.
