확대 천안시는 21일 시청 대회의실에서 12개 대학교 관계자와 ‘2026 천안 유니브시티 페스티벌’ 착수보고회 및 행사기획단 회의를 개최했다.

시는 청년들의 소통 안전망을 구축하고 대학 간의 연대감을 최고조로 끌어올리기 위해 ‘2026 천안 유니브시티 페스티벌(Univ-City Festival)’의 본격적인 축제 기획 가이드라인을 수립하고 전방위적인 준비 태세에 돌입했다고 21일 밝혔다.

시는 이날 시청 대회의실에서 김석필 천안시장 권한대행 부시장을 필두로 관내 12개 대학교의 학생처장, 총학생회장, 동아리연합회장 등 대학가 정예 리더들이 대거 참석한 가운데 대규모 착수보고회 및 행사기획단 회의를 개최했다. 올해로 4회째를 맞이하며 중부권 최고의 청년 아이콘 브랜드로 안착한 유니브시티 페스티벌은 기성세대의 관료주의적 관행을 탈피해 대학생들이 직접 아이디어를 내고 프로그램을 설계·집행하는 '학생 주도형' 문화 거버넌스 축제다.

이날 개최된 착수보고회에서는 축제의 성공적 개최를 위한 전반적인 시정 운영 방향과 첨단 안전 방역망 구축 계획이 공유됐다. 이어진 행사기획단 회의에서는 대학생들의 참신한 시각이 반영된 세부 프로그램 구성안, 창작 동아리 경연 무대, 지역 상권 상생 매칭 등 구체적인 운영 방안이 마라톤 회의를 통해 심도 있게 논의됐다.

이번 메가 축제는 오는 9월 18일 천안종합운동장 오륜문광장 일원에서 화려한 막을 올린다. 현장에서는 12개 대학 간의 자존심을 건 화합 체육대회를 비롯해 각 대학교의 학문적 성과와 개성을 직관적으로 체험할 수 있는 대학별 특색 부스, 전국 청년들의 이목을 사로잡을 초호화 아티스트 축하공연 등 오감을 만족시킬 다채로운 콘텐츠가 밤낮으로 쉴 틈 없이 쏟아진다.
