확대 14일 천안축구센터에서 사례관리 아동들이 신체활동 프로그램인 ‘운동의 정석’에 참여하고 있다.

[천안/CTN]강현수 기자 = 천안시 드림스타트가 취약계층 아동들의 기초 체력 증진과 사회성 함양을 위해 지역사회의 전문 체육 인프라를 결합한 실전형 신체활동 지원에 전격 나섰다.

드림스타트는 14일 천안축구센터에서 사례관리 아동 25명을 대상으로 신체활동 프로그램인 운동의 정석을 진행하며 아이들에게 체계적인 운동 기회를 제공했다. 이번 프로그램은 단순히 신체 기능을 높이는 것을 넘어 단체 활동을 통해 아이들이 자신감을 얻고 올바른 사회성을 기를 수 있도록 설계됐다. 특히 천안시티FC 소속 전문 코치진을 초빙해 진행된 축구 지도는 현장감 넘치는 기술 전수와 함께 스포츠 정신을 몸소 익히는 소중한 시간이 됐다.

드림스타트의 건강 관리 행보는 축구에만 머물지 않는다. 지난 3월부터 신불당ST 복싱클럽과 연계해 운영 중인 1대 2 맞춤형 복싱 수업은 아동 개별 특성에 맞춘 세심한 지도로 현장의 높은 호응을 얻고 있다. 석재옥 아동보육과장은 "지역사회의 유기적인 협력이 아이들의 건강한 성장을 이끄는 든든한 밑거름이 되고 있다"며 "우리 아이들이 자신의 재능을 발견하고 밝게 자라날 수 있는 최적의 환경을 조성하는 데 행정력을 집중하겠다"고 강조했다.

현재 천안시 드림스타트는 12세 이하 취약계층 아동과 임산부를 대상으로 건강과 정서, 복지를 아우르는 맞춤형 통합 서비스를 제공하며 공교육의 빈틈을 메우는 촘촘한 안전망 역할을 수행하고 있다. 지역사회 전문가들과 손잡고 아이들의 몸과 마음을 동시에 돌보는 이러한 시도는 향후 천안형 아동 복지 모델의 질적 성장을 견인할 것으로 기대된다.

On the 14th, Dream Start conducted the "Standard of Exercise" physical activity program at the Cheonan Football Center for 25 case-managed children, providing them with systematic exercise opportunities. This program was designed to help children gain confidence and develop proper social skills through group activities, going beyond simply improving physical functions. In particular, the football instruction led by professional coaches from Cheonan City FC served as a valuable time for passing on vivid on-site techniques and learning the spirit of sportsmanship.

Dream Start's health management efforts are not limited to football. The "1-on-2 customized boxing classes," which have been operated since last March in link with the Sinbuldang ST Boxing Club, are receiving high praise for their meticulous instruction tailored to each child's characteristics. Seok Jae-ok, head of the Child Care Division, emphasized, "Organic cooperation within the local community is becoming a strong foundation for children's healthy growth," and added, "We will focus our administrative power on creating an optimal environment where our children can discover their talents and grow brightly."

Currently, Cheonan City's Dream Start acts as a tight safety net filling the gaps in public education by providing customized integrated services spanning health, emotion, and welfare for vulnerable children under the age of 12 and pregnant women. Such attempts to care for children's bodies and minds in collaboration with community experts are expected to drive the qualitative growth of the Cheonan-style child welfare model in the future.
