[천안/CTN]강현수 기자 = 천안도시공사가 공공체육시설 이용 과정에서 소외될 수 있는 정보취약계층의 디지털 격차를 해소하고 모든 시민이 차별 없이 시설을 이용할 수 있도록 배리어프리(Barrier Free) 기능을 탑재한 키오스크를 도입하며 포용적 행정의 속도를 높이고 있다.

공사는 정보 취약계층의 공공체육시설 이용 편의성을 근본적으로 개선하기 위해 음성 안내, 점자, 화면 확대, 도우미 호출 등 특화 기능이 적용된 키오스크를 설치했다고 15일 밝혔다. 이번 조치는 무인 서비스 확산에 따라 디지털 기기 사용에 어려움을 겪는 고령층과 장애인들이 입장권 확인이나 구매 과정에서 겪는 불편을 최소화하기 위한 선제적 대응이다.

현재 배리어프리 키오스크는 국민체육센터와 북부스포츠센터에 설치를 마친 상태다. 공사는 여기서 멈추지 않고 향후 한들문화센터와 코리아풋볼파크 아레나에도 순차적으로 추가 설치를 진행해 관내 주요 공공체육시설 전반에 걸쳐 무장애 이용 환경을 표준화한다는 방침이다.

신광호 천안도시공사 사장은 "공공체육시설은 모든 시민이 편리하게 이용할 수 있어야 하는 만큼 정보취약계층도 불편 없이 서비스를 누릴 수 있는 환경을 조성하는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다"며 "앞으로도 시민 중심의 공공서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 현장의 장벽을 하나씩 제거하는 환경 개선에 모든 역량을 집중하겠다"고 강조했다.

이번 배리어프리 키오스크 도입은 단순한 장비 교체를 넘어 공공기관이 지향해야 할 보편적 접근성 확보라는 사회적 가치를 실현했다는 점에서 의미가 깊다. 기술의 발전이 특정 계층의 소외가 아닌 모든 시민의 편리함으로 연결될 때 진정한 지능형 도시가 완성된다는 점에서 천안도시공사의 이번 행보는 지역 사회의 디지털 포용력을 한 단계 끌어올리는 중요한 이정표가 될 것이다.

The corporation announced on the 15th that it has installed kiosks featuring specialized functions such as voice guidance, braille, screen enlargement, and assistant call buttons to fundamentally improve accessibility. This measure is a proactive response to minimize the inconvenience faced by the elderly and people with disabilities in ticket verification or purchase processes as unmanned services expand.

Currently, the installation of barrier-free kiosks has been completed at the National Sports Center and the Northern Sports Center. The CUC does not plan to stop there; it will sequentially install additional units at the Handeul Culture Center and the Korea Football Park Arena to standardize a barrier-free environment across major public sports facilities in the city.

Shin Kwang-ho, President of Cheonan Urban Corporation, emphasized, "As public sports facilities must be convenient for all citizens, it is more important than anything to create an environment where even the information-vulnerable can enjoy services without discomfort." He added, "We will continue to focus all our capabilities on improving the environment by removing barriers in the field to provide citizen-centered public services."
